Goal for 2025: close the digital gap and fully embrace artificial intelligence in your company

As 2024 nears its end, Servitalent conducted a LinkedIn survey to assess the current state of training in artificial intelligence (AI). The results are revealing and highlight a significant challenge for businesses and their teams:

  • Yes, I’m currently training in AI: 49%
  • No, but I’d like to start: 31%
  • No, it’s not a priority right now: 15%
  • No, I don’t think it’s relevant: 4%

While 49% of participants are already training, the remaining 51% have yet to take concrete steps. This includes those intending to train as well as those who don’t see it as a priority. This highlights a critical question: are companies taking the lead in driving change?

The impact of the digital gap and the importance of AI

The digital gap remains a significant obstacle. Artificial intelligence is not only transforming industries and job roles but also redefining the skills required in the market. In this context, those who fail to train may face disadvantages in both career opportunities and adaptability to dynamic environments.

A notable finding is that many AI training initiatives are self-driven rather than employer-led. This reflects a lack of organizational leadership and underscores the need for companies to take a more proactive role in digital training.

Personal and organizational challenges with AI

  • Individual barriers: Lack of time, perceived complexity, or uncertainty about where to begin are common hurdles for professionals.
  • Lack of corporate support: Some employees use AI tools like ChatGPT informally, highlighting the disconnect between individual efforts and organizational strategies.
  • Resistance to change: The 15% who don’t prioritize AI training and the 4% who find it irrelevant reveal a gap between technology and its perceived workplace applications.

Companies need to recognize that technological change waits for no one, and those who fail to act today risk falling behind in the near future.

The role of companies in 2025

At Servitalent, we understand that digital transformation is not just a technological challenge but a change that starts with people. Training in generative AI must be a priority for all businesses, especially SMEs, which make up 99% of the Spanish business landscape.

Organizations that don’t adapt their strategies to this reality could face severe competitiveness issues. This process must go beyond attending conferences or summits; it requires concrete decisions and immediate actions.
