Summer, a challenge at the commercial level?
August is a vacation month for most employees. Both internally and externally, it becomes a challenge to organize business meetings. Attracting the attention of the companies in which we are interested without receiving the typical "we'll talk to you during September" is complicated at this time of the year, but balancing your schedule with the vacations of our sales team is a challenge. Sometimes it even ends up being a "wasted" effort, as we have seen first-hand that, at this time of the year, non-attendance at business meetings has been significantly higher than during the rest of the year.
But even from these types of situations that, a priori, complicate the commercial work, we can take something positive out of it. All the factors mentioned above make August the perfect time to dedicate our time and effort to those back office tasks that we do not get to during the rest of the year, either because we do not have enough time or simply because we do not consider them a priority and they are constantly relegated to the bottom of an endless list of things to do.
Update the database, collect information about companies with which you have not been in contact for a long time; with the aim of recovering communication by providing value and, therefore, to attract their attention again, check if our contacts are still in the same company or have changed; in order to identify new opportunities within the data circuit itself, implement new applications, procedures and automations to be ready for the return of the vacations and many more tasks that will help us during the rest of the year to have a better and more efficient performance.
It must be said that, although at this time of the year we can focus our efforts and time on these tasks, it is important to maintain a certain consistency during the rest of the year. It is very important that the information we handle is always up to date so that the sales team can get the best possible performance from it.
From Servitalent we encourage you to turn these periods of low commercial activity into a strength, an opportunity for your company to put everything ready to, among other things, start strong in September!
We wish you a lot of success in these tasks, and that like us in Servitalent you can carry them out successfully and for the future good of the company and its customers.
