There’s no doubt: strong employer brands attract and retain top talent. Companies that strategically manage their employer brand not only dominate markets but also attract and retain the best professionals. A strong brand is much more than a commercial asset — it’s a symbol of trust, quality, and prestige that acts as a powerful talent magnet.

Strong brands create quality employment

The Spanish Forum of Leading Brands (Foro de Marcas Renombradas Españolas - FMRE) highlights in its report, “The Social Footprint in Spanish Companies”, how established brands lead the way in creating stable, high-quality jobs:

  • Job growth: Their workforce grew by 5.8%, surpassing the national average of 3.6%.
  • Contract stability: 88.7% of their contracts are permanent, compared to the national average of 84%.
  • Competitive salaries: The average salary reaches €33,358 — 24% higher than the market average.

These figures demonstrate how a strong employer brand helps create attractive work environments where employees are recognized as strategic assets.

Retaining talent: it’s about more than salary

FMRE companies understand that talent retention goes far beyond paychecks. What’s their secret?

  • Continuous training: They invest an average of 19.5 training hours per employee each year — 44% more than the national average.

  • Work-life balance: 29.5% of employees benefit from remote work and flexible arrangements, almost double the national average.

  • Low turnover: Voluntary turnover stands at just 4.4%, significantly below the national average of 17%.

Creating an environment where professionals can grow and develop is key to building long-term loyalty.

Diversity and inclusion: a competitive advantage

Top brands don’t just invest in talent — they also actively promote diversity and inclusion, further enhancing their attractiveness as employers:

  • 55.2% of their workforce is female, with 30% of leadership roles held by women.
  • They exceed legal requirements for hiring people with disabilities, with a 2% inclusion rate.

This commitment not only enhances corporate reputation, but also drives innovation and performance.
